Thimbleberry Collection

Thimbleberries are a hot commodity here in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where I live overlooking the Lake Superior shore. Between late July and mid-August you will find people parked along the backroads picking these tasty berries! Many visitors to our area head home with a jar or two of thimbleberry jam! 

I purchased these beautiful rose-cut garnets and they reminded me of those thimbleberries that get me out in the woods for hours on end every summer!
